About the Event
On May 2nd, researchers from Nozomi Networks released a blog “Nozomi Networks Discovers Unpatched DNS Bug in Popular C Standard Library Putting IoT at Risk”.[1] According to the blog, a vulnerability tracked under CVE-2022-30295) affecting the Domain Name System (DNS) implementation for all versions of a popular C standard library in IoT products may allow attackers to perform DNS poisoning against a target device, and the library maintainer has been unable to develop a fix leaving this vulnerability unpatched.
We will be joined by the Nozomi Networks security researchers who discovered this vulnerability for a candid conversation about the potential risk along with possible mitigation strategies.
